The Journey of Your Life

Walking in a maze you see nothing,

Walking in circles back to the beginning. 

Running around you achieve nothing,

Running around all you lost is energy

Tragedy is what everyone calls Romeo and Juliet

But what happens when you’ve not achieved anything?

Then what happens? 

Losing dreams in your sleep,

All the thoughts are fading away.

Then what’s left?

Seconds, minutes, days, months or even years later;

You’ve searched everywhere and found a new path

One where when you open its door,

It shows flights of stairs ahead of you

It is up to you to decide whether you want to climb or not ;

You ask and everyone says climb it.

You’ll have a second chance to achieve something.

But what if at the back of your mind you’re scared?

Scared of what will happen if you start climbing ,

And fall back down again.

Then what happens?

But even though all of this ,

Is going on in your head, 

You push the fear away and say,

“I’m going to do it, even if I fall down, I will find a way back up.”

Then you start climbing up the stairs;

Slowly but surely you can see your goal ahead;

Your dream right in front of you. 

And than your most dreaded fear takes place;

You trip.

All that courage that you felt at the beginning,

Dissipating into thin air.

Your eyes closed, fear coursing,

Through your mind and body.

And when you finally open your eyes;

You see the looks of your loved ones around.

The inkling of courage that was pushed away by fear,

Ignited once again.

And you stand up, with your head held high;

And you start climbing the stairs.

And eventually you reach the top;

You have acquired your goal ;

You are living the dream.

But what will happen next? 

The simple answer is,

You don’t know.

All you know is 

That it will be a journey with ups and downs, 

Highs and lows.

But you will make it through, at all costs.
