What happens to those words never spoken?

What happens to the voices that never get to be heard?

Where do they go?

Do they just sit inside of you?

Like magma in a dormant volcano,

Waiting to erupt.

What happens to the results that haven’t been born?

What happens to you?

When you aren’t heard;

Drowned out by the criticism around you.

What happens to those few words,

That could change someone’s life.

Biting your tongue and holding back.

Keeping opinions to yourself.

These actions set off chain reactions;

For better or for worse;

Only time can tell.

Those words that were never carried by the wind

Those words that got lost in the noise and chaos.

Most of the time, they matter the most.
