Hopes, Beliefs and Wishes

Do we live in a world of broken hope,

or is the world too broken to hope?

Do we believe one day these cuts will heal,
these scars will fade?

Do we blind ourselves to the future
fearing the devastating change but doing nothing to stop it?

We try to pull ourselves back up
only to be knocked down again.

We form relationships
only to burn the bridges when they are needed most.

We preach diversity
only to create adversity.

We wish for unity
but must first accept equality.

When the world is an even field;
When the world is filled with love not hate;
Only then will the world move forward
